Frequently Asked Questions
Investor readiness refers to how prepared a business is to secure external funding. This includes having a clear business model, financial records, a strong pitch deck, defined growth plans, a proper valuation, and understanding what investors typically look for. On Capital Connect Africa, we help businesses assess and strengthen their investor readiness through tools and resources tailored to their stage and goals.
There is no fixed minimum investment amount on Capital Connect, as it depends on the investment preferences of individual investors and firms. However, businesses are encouraged to define a realistic funding range based on their needs and stage of growth, while investors can browse opportunities that align with their budget and criteria.
All businesses on Capital Connect Africa go through a verification process which includes identity checks, legal documentation reviews, and in some cases, background checks. Verified businesses are marked accordingly on the platform. We also encourage investors to request additional due diligence materials where necessary.
Both early-stage and growth-stage businesses looking for funding, as well as investors (angel investors, VCs, impact funds, etc.) seeking vetted opportunities in Africa, can join. Ecosystem partners such as accelerators and incubators are also welcome.
The platform is currently free of charge for both businesses and investors. You can sign up, create a profile, and access the core features without any fees.
Founders can access investor readiness assessments, educational guides, success stories, advisory services, and even one-on-one advisory sessions through the platform or its partners.
